Tips for better results
- Contrast does the cutting. A subject that stands out from its background, by colour or by light, gives cleaner edges around hair and fine detail.
- Trying out colours on a cutout you already made does not cost anything extra, so play with the gradient angle until it looks right.
- Keep PNG when you need transparency. JPEG has no transparent pixels, so a plain cutout saved as JPEG loses the see-through background.
Frequently asked questions
Does it change the subject?
No. The subject is cut out as it is and placed on the background you choose. Nothing about the person or product itself is redrawn.
Why did I get a PNG when I asked for WebP?
Solid color, Gradient, Background image and Blur background always come back as PNG when WebP is selected. JPEG and PNG requests are honoured as chosen.
Is it free?
No. Each cutout spends AI credits from your Wujud account, and changing the background on a cutout you already have costs nothing extra. AI tools need a paid plan, which comes with a monthly credit allowance, and you can buy more as a pack.
Can I use the results commercially?
Yes, for listings, ads and client work, as long as you have the rights to the photo you started from.
