Tips for better results
- A clear gap between you and the wall helps. When hair and shoulders separate cleanly from what is behind, the edges come out cleaner.
- Previewing a transparent result in Safari? It may not play there, but the download still works. Check it in Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- Posting straight to social? Pick a colour, gradient, image or blur rather than transparent. You get an MP4 that plays everywhere, with the audio.
- Keep blur low for a natural look. A small amount reads as a shallow-focus lens, while the top of the range wipes the room out entirely.

Why will a transparent video not play?
Transparency needs WebM with VP9 alpha, and Safari’s support for it is limited. Chrome, Edge and Firefox play it, and the downloaded file works in editors that read alpha.
Does it work on any video?
It is built for footage of you, or of someone who agreed to it, up to 10 minutes long. Product-only or scenery shots are not what it is tuned for.
