From a photo of a document to fields you can paste anywhere
This document scanner reads a photo or PDF of a receipt, business card, CV and more, and returns its fields as structured JSON. Every document type has a fixed set of fields, so the output slots into a spreadsheet or a form the same way every time.
How it works
- 1
Add the document
Upload a photo or a PDF, or pick an image from your media library.
- 2
Say what it is
Choose the document type. Add the country if you know it, or leave it on auto-detect.
- 3
Scan document
The fields come back as a table with a confidence score. Copy or download the JSON.
What you can make
Recruiters screening CVs
Experience, education, skills, certifications and languages pulled into sections, ready for a tracker.
Freelancers doing their books
Receipts and invoices read into merchant, date, line items and totals instead of typed by hand.
Event and sales teams
A stack of business cards from a trade show, turned into names, titles, emails and phone numbers.

Tips for better results
- Shoot flat and close. A document filling the frame, straight on and without glare, reads far better than one at an angle on a busy desk.
- Pick the right document type. It decides which fields get extracted, so a business card scanned as a receipt comes back with gaps.
- Type the country for local documents. Auto-detect works, but a hint helps it map local field names onto the right keys.
- Upload a CV as a PDF rather than screenshots. Pages are stacked into one image in your browser, so the whole history is read in one scan.
Frequently asked questions
What does the confidence score mean?
It measures how completely the fields for that document type were filled, not whether they are correct. A full set of misread values can still score high, so check anything important against the document.
What is stored, and where?
The image you upload goes into your media library like any other upload, and the extracted JSON is saved there too. For payment cards, only the last 4 digits are extracted, so the full card number never reaches the result.
Does it work for documents from my country?
Yes. It is not tied to one country. Local fields are mapped onto the standard keys, and anything that does not fit lands in the "extra" object instead of being dropped.
Is it free?
No. Each run spends AI credits from your Wujud account, billed per scan, and a long PDF or a dense CV costs a little more than a receipt. Credits are bought as a pack, new accounts start with none, and AI tools need a paid plan.
Can I scan other people’s documents?
Only with their permission and a real reason to hold the data. A CV or a business card is personal data, so treat the results the way your privacy rules say you should.
